We’re surprised that Amazon has one for October Prime Day (and that is has lasted through day 2), but there’s a catch. The company has a large stock of “like new” units that were returned, and it’s clearing out its stock at the more reasonable price of $141 (these are normally $199.99 new) for Prime members. All you need to do to get this discount is add it to your cart, then watch the list price of $176.52 fall to $141.Related:The best gaming deals from day two of October Prime DayWe normally don’t feel comfortable recommending used products that are purchased sight unseen, but Amazon’s Renewed lists some important assurances, such as that its “screen is like new with no visible scratches,” and that it will come in its original packaging. That still might not be enough for you to take a chance, but at nearly $60 off the new price, some may feel comfortable taking a chance since $60 is money that could go toward a new game. Also, Amazon offers free returns, so there’s little in the way of risk with the exception of possibly wasting your time running to the mail center if things don’t work out.PlayStation Portal$177$20012% off$177This dedicated remote player lets you play your favorite PS5 games anywhere in the house over Wi-Fi (handy for when the TV isn’t available) while retaining the DualSense’s key features, such as realistic haptics and adaptive triggers.Read More$180 at GameStop$200 at PlayStation$177 at Amazon RenewedLooking for more deals? As I write this, Black Myth: Wukong, the action adventure from China’s Game Science studio, is the most played game on Steam by player count. There are currently 1,400,932 players in-game (with a peak of 1,443,570), surpassing the likes of Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, PUBG and all the usual games that occupy Steam’s top five.Wukong’s launch was already predicted to be strong, with the game being Steam’s number one seller for several weeks, but the concurrent player figures are quite staggering for a single-player, offline game.To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Manage cookie settings Though the number of concurrent players continues to rise, even as it stands, this makes Black Myth: Wukong Steam’s fourth most popular game in its history, having j…
Read moreWorld of Warcraft: The War Within is officially out today, which means you – yes, you – can boot up the game right now and get an espresso shot of that lovely new-expansion experience. It’s the best time to play an MMO y’know, before everything settles down and you’re stuck running raids on a weekly schedule. The expansion has you and other players venture down into Azeroth’s underbelly looking for loot, Xal’atath, and roughly a billion giant spiders who ironically aren’t too fond of you hanging around. It’s already been playable for those who bought special (and more expensive) version of the expansion, but now the gates have been thrown open for the entire playerbase to hop in.To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Manage cookie settings As for what’s available right now, the…

Read moreWIT Studio is back with another exciting looking project, this time a brand new anime adaptation of Yaiba. While it’s a bit of a newer studio compared to some of the other more established names out there, WIT Studio has certainly proven itself with some bigger projects like Spy x Family and Suicide Squad Isekai, not to mention the opening and 2D cutscenes from Persona 3 Reload. Now, they’re back with another classic, Yaiba, a series that follows the titular character Yaiba Kurogane, a young samurai who takes inspiration from real-world samurai Miyamoto Musashi. If you take a look at the trailer below and think “huh, I vaguely recognise that style,” that’s because the manga the anime is based on is from Gosho Aoyama, best known for the long running Cased Closed series (also commonly known a…
Read moreSorry to those of you that were excited by the prospect of Josh Brolin as Hal Jordan, but the actor has apparently decided against starring in the Green Lanterns series.Last week, it was reported that previous Marvel Cinematic Universe big bad Thanos, or as he’s actually called, Josh Brolin, had been offered a role in DC’s Green Lanterns series as the one and only Hal Jordan. It was just an offer though, and not an outright confirmation, and as now reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has apparently passed on the show. THR didn’t have any other details about Brolin’s decision, so it’s not clear why he might have passed on it – this would be the fifth time he played a comic book character on screen, so it’s always possible he’s decided to move away from that type of role.To see thi…

Read moreIf you’re a Silent Hill 2 fan, but you’ve moved onto Xbox since the PS2 days, you’re going to have to wait a whole year before it releases on the PS5 rival. It’s not very long until Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2 is out, but much like the original version of the game, when it does launch it will be a PS5 console exclusive (PC players will be able to play it day and date). The Silent Hill series obviously feels much more like it belongs on PlayStation, given that the first game launched on the PS1, though in the following years it did come to various Xbox consoles – including Silent Hill 2, which later made it to the original Xbox with the subtitle Inner Fears. Read moreDon’t freak out, Over the Garden Wall fans, but a new short is on the way to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary. It’s kind of impressive how even 10 years on, people are still talking about a 10 episode long mini-series with each episode only running at around 11 minutes a pop. Still, it’s undeniable that Over the Garden Wall has become a staple of the fall season, with many fans rewatching the show every year. A second season is never going to happen (though creator Patrick McHale does have ideas for a spiritual successor), but after all these years with only having the original to watch, there’ll finally be something new to watch. Yesterday, the official Cartoon Network Twitter account shared that there’s a new short on the way, and lovers of Wallace and Gromit will be very excited to…
